Focus on your natural healing capacities and more deeply understand your own inner healer.
What is holistic therapy?
Holistic therapy is a type of therapy that focuses on a person’s natural healing capacities, honoring the “whole” person and integrating spiritual, physical, mental, and emotional forms of well-being. The goal of holistic therapy is to help individuals develop a deeper understanding of their own “inner healer,” finding a more accessible balance within their own systems. It integrates evidence-based treatment, creativity, and a holistic, trauma-informed framework and is often tailored to a person’s unique needs.
Holistic therapy can take many different forms. At Dragonfly Nest, therapy draws from many types of modalities, including:
· Psychodynamic therapy
· Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)
· Dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT)
· Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) & Attachment Theory
· Breathwork
· Mindfulness practices
· Polyvagal Theory
· Internal Family Systems (IFS)
· Somatic psychotherapy
· Brainspotting & EMDR
· Reiki/energy work
· Expressive arts therapy
