Somatic therapy explores how the body holds wisdom, working with various expressions such as breath, movement, and sound to approach therapeutic resonance. Somatic therapy can release stress, trauma, and emotions in ways that talk therapy may be limited. During a somatic therapy session, your clinician may guide you through a mindfulness sequence related to “turning inward’ – exploring sensations and internal experiences. Our bodies are the intellectual vehicles that carry us through this life. Somatic therapy is a beautiful expression of reverence and compassion towards the body, that often carries profound healing and love into the rest of our system.
